And then he said he thinks its a major story and will continue to be.... at the end of the segment. As if he thinks the injury is more serious than the organization is letting on.

Not that I disagree with him based on my own mindfacting, but what is the basis for him thinking this?

I think just the fact that they don't know that its nothing serious or not yet because it's not possible to know. You can't x-ray for an oblique injury. It goes by what the player feels and how he performs. My guess is Harper will try to play through it, but if his numbers start to trend downward it's going to be a story. And if he comes out in a few weeks and there's still pain in the oblique or rib area when he swings, we have a serious problem on our hands.

Davey Johnson called in to the Holden & Danny Show on 106.7 FM The Fan today and said that Bryce insisted that he would remain in the game last night.  Davey argued with him and said he was coming out, to check on the injury.

Also refused to come out of the game:

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)

The funny part is that Davey called in to apologize about referring to The Junkies (morning show) as The Flunkies.  He said he was only joking and didn't want someone to report it otherwise.  The call screener thought that Davey's call might be a hoax by an impersonator, since he dialed the call-in number.  So they asked him how Harper was doing.

These freakers need to learn to get healthy before coming back. What good is it to play hurt but not produce? Also, what good is it to start but have to be taken out early and deplete the bench?

Meh, I'm sure that every athlete is in pain in one form or another pretty much every day - besides don't you repressed males call each other out for being wusses if you take yourself out of a game?

:)

Werth headed to the DL, Davey says either Kobernus or Perez are likely to get called up.

Well maybe Werth will come out on fire after hitting the DL like when he returned from his wrist last year.

Should have been Kobernus.  Why the hell do you wait forever to do this?

Davey has a plan...

Kobernus plays 2nd. Werth is an outfielder.

Moore is a 1st baseman.  Davey doesn't care...just throw them all in the outfield...

Kobernus has played 10 games at 2B in 2013, 21 in the OF.

Why call up an infielder to replace an outfielder

Kobernus has played 10 games at 2B in 2013, 21 in the OF.
Don't be a freaktard. He's played 274 games at Second Base. He's not an outfielder. Perez is. Furthermore, Perez is hitting well and deserves a call up.

If Kobernus would have been on the 40 man and not Eury, he would have been called up. That was the reasoning.

Yep. Burning an option year for one week of sitting on his ass wouldn't be the smartest thing.

I'm guessing the fact that Kobernus isn't an OF had something to do with it as well?

Facts are facts. Whether you like them or not, Kobernus has played more OF than IF this season.

Yep. They've stated that they want him to play multiple positions.

Nah. If he would have been on the 40 man they would have called him up over someone not on the 40 man. You don't put someone on there for an week long call up. Plus he's played some OF this year and if I remember he played in high school. He'd be serviceable I'm sure.
