Campbell named starter for the Browns. While I agree he gives them the best chance to win now... Why not tank and get better picks? I like the majority of their roster but if you could add a legit CB to pair with Haden or a QB next year they really could take off.

Their defense is a playmaker away from being a formidable defense.

Hoyer probably got them too many wins to get Boyd or Bridgewater already. Jacksonville might go winless, Tampa may fire everyone and totally start over, Minnesota is really bad and desperately needs a QB, and who knows with the Giants. And Camplbell played pretty bad for Chicago last season, so he may suck as much as Weeden.

It's already formidable, but another secondary ace could make it top notch. Hope they can keep Ward in free agency this offseason and Haden the next.

freak that illegal batting in the Dolphins/Patriots game. That's a bad rule any way that should be changed, but there's so many times you go for the ball and miss like that could be counted against you like it did against the Dolphins. But we can't have defense in the NFL, now can we.

Candle having a decent game.  Why the freak did it take the Browns so long to replace Brandon Ween?

Calvin Johnson is the best wide receiver I've ever seen. 290 yards.

No doubt about it.  He was trying to scoop the ball into his body.  That was a terrible flag that literally changed the game.

No doubt about it.  He was trying to scoop the ball into his body.

No he was not. He intentionally batted the ball away to prevent the NE player from recovering the football. That is not a bad rule. It prevents players from batting balls to improve field position or from batting balls away to propel the football into the endzone for scores.

Yeah he is.

Did not know he attempted 727 passes last season. That has to be a record. Dude's arm is going to fall off in a couple of years.

When the Lions are "on" they are the most fun team in nfl to watch.

If only they didn't pull him after week 14.    :couch:

It didn't hit the middle of his hand it was right off the fingertips.  Watch his arm after he makes contact with the ball.  It continues moving towards his body.

The rule is good and needed when applied correctly.  I don't think it was here and by the sound of others, even admittedly so during the game, others don't either.
