The bases are empty.  If he'd bunted last time and the hits played the same way, he would have scored.

I'm over 60 and I never knew anyone who drank vodka and tomato juice  ...  what do they make Bloody Mary's with?

EDIT  ...  never mind I looked it up.   I always thought it was about the celery.

Add celery and it's a bloody Mary

The bases were empty then too.  It was exactly the same situation, him leading off an them in that exaggerated shift.

Why do mediocre pitchers always seem to dominate us?

On a shot of Davey, after the Fllies went up 2-0...he had a "deer-in-the-headlights" look about him...

This team has been getting shutout a lot recently as well.  Zero confidence heading into the postseason at the moment.

I would have pulled lannan between innings.   He was getting hit hard last inning.

That can change with one big win...

I want someone in management to explain why this team flamed out so dramatically at the end of this season....when the season is over (soon, I'm guessing).

And if the explanation is that they weren't really as good as their record then I want to hear how you're going to make the team better because this is some really bad baseball we're watching this team play, right now.  This team needs to get a lot better for next season.

It might just be me, but it seems the team has gotten worse since they shutdown Strasburg.

We have had lots of big one wins recently but none of them have turned around the team's overall poor play. We had a great extra winning on Saturday in St. Louis and then right back to crap the next two days. We took the last 2 in Philly and then got drummed soundly on Friday in St. Louis.
