Brandon Beachy, lowest ERA in the NL. And a 0.90 WHIP.

I also saw him choke on national TV the other night!!!

What are the odds the best pitcher in the NL chokes in two consecutive National TV outings? I feel great about Gio's chances but I don't see how we score on Sunday night.

What are the odds that the NL-East leader chokes in its 4th consecutive National TV outing?

Cole Hamels is a great pitcher and he's a reason we lost those two games.  Detwiler is the reason for Saturdays setback.

I think 97% of us can agree that Detwiler has no shot on Friday.

Time for CMW. Detwiler seems more like the number 6 starter, if we don't count Stammen.

Xavier Nady?  Really, Davey???

But seriously, this  roster is bad constructed, just like last year's.  There are too many left handed bats on it.  Rick Ankiel should never have seen the light of day today.

It's not a Detwiler problem.  It's a Hudson problem.  Detwiler will be fine.  We're not going to score any runs though.

What Davey was most upset about from game: Harper didn't advance to 2nd on throw to plate. Bryce said Trent Jewett told him not to go.

Out of all the terrible things that happened in this game Davey singles out Harper not  going to 2nd on that play? Laroche didn't do jack crap anyways. What about Porter's decision to send Espy, HRod's craphole outing, and the weak offensive performance?

I think you must have missed the part where LaRoche scored the Nats only run of the night.

I'm tired of Davey's delusional approach and idiotic post game comments. I respect him and he obviously knows the game, but I think this team needs a younger, more loose manager. This crap is stupid.

Greinke 56.2 IP

Gio 1.94

That's why

Not looking into much at all.. but Beachy seems like Jair Jurrjens last year. Insane numbers to the average fan, not so special to others.

That comment makes perfect sense. Harper should have been on 2B. That was a major base coaching blunder. When you send the runner for a close play at home, you have to send the the batter to 2B as a decoy and insurance. It was a glaring mistake and well worth calling out. Nothing baffling about it all, and something I mentioned at the time. I didn't like sending Danny there, but Harper has to end up on 2B if you do. It doesn't matter if the outcome of one game doesn't change. You don't manage baseball for one game.

If for no other reason, you're on national television - put your best possible product on the field to showcase.
