I'm starting to second-guess myself if I should've registered for this board again.

:lmao:

Not enough to beat Hamels though under any scenario. We needed 7-8 scoreless from Edwin to have a chance.

You can't expect that from your #4 starter. Hell 8 scoreless is a lot to expect from anyone. If those are your expectations then you need to go somewhere else.

Probably true as well but the Phils can't afford to fall 6.5 games back in the division and the Nats need to get the monkey off their back and break the streak of being 0-8 in chances to sweep this year. We will see who wants it more. I see a low scoring game with Phils taking a 2 or 3 run lead in the middle innings.

Exactly what happened

7th   J Pierre sacrificed to pitcher, M Fontenot scored.

The Nationals of Washington  0
The Phillies of Philadelphia    3

7 innings and 3 runs by Jackson is still a fine start especially for the #4 starter.

Ugly but he fought through it. He could likely teach Detwiler a few things.

Those are that prerequisites for beating Cole Hamels. 7 IP 3 ER is fine but that won't compete with Hamels. We needed a shutout.

Okay, well we weren't getting a shutout tonight. We haven't gotten a shutout in a while. Maybe you just shouldn't have watched the game if you were so sure we were going to lose.

Oh hell. Only Flores would jam his thumb taking off his batting glove.

Goodness gracious dude. The offense has been pathetic again. We lost a run on the basepaths and you're nagging about Jackson!
