I'm surprised there wasn't mutiny in the dugout.

I was a big H-Rod supporter, but I can't stick up for him anymore.  Whenever conditions are less than optimal (wet mound, road games, clouds in the sky, whatever...), he just craps the bed.  He needs a new role to work things out.

That 9th inning was painful. I don't know if MASN had the same camera craps as Fillies, but the Fillies kept showing HRod sitting in the dugout. Hat off. Staring. Not moving. Catatonic.

MASN had that for a good 10 seconds.

How about move Clippard to closer and let Stammen take over his 7th/8th inning role?

this.. your best relief pitcher should be out there in the 9th, baseball is too quick to limit guys with tags like set up, closer, 7th inning guy.

all these crappy stats like saves, holds etc mean freak all, just put your best guy on the mound

I sincerely hope HRod gets through this, but this is looking like that Cardinals playoff series where Ankiel lost it.  Poor guy.

Burnett might not do it in the prettiest fashion, but I really like what he's doing lately.

except for one rough stretch last season he's been really really good.

What's he saying?

Just saying that H-Rod is scaring the crap out of everyone (his exact words were "to death") and that Davey has to be accountable for all 25 men on the roster.

Woa.....

(Filly announcers exlain that Gio was not sharp..."walk three and struck out nine"...what????????????????

They belong in the asylum with Davey Johnson and his refusal to give up on H-Rod.

:w: in. Our idiotic teams will figure out HRod isn't a closer some day. Still think this time was the end though.

This speaks for me. I am officially done with HRod as the closer. And I bet so is Davey. Burnett is the man now. Until Drew comes back.

That's just it. There's no arguing her attractiveness.

There was discussion about Debbie because there were some that loved her and others, not so much.

yes. Davey is even allowed to pitch a guy in boith the 8th and 9th...Stammen and Clippartd were both starters.
