Granted Hrod was the real dagger, but ....

Reds - 9 runs on 9 hits, 4 LOB
Nats - 6 runs on 16 hits, 14 LOB

Geez............

Now the Reds will head to Atlanta to bend over for the Braves.  Sigh...

No way, the Braves are about to catch fire. Rumor has it Dan Uggla has been doing nothing but forearm curls the past 48 hours.

We don't need to win the East to make the playoffs, so I don't understand why people are fretting over the Braves at this point into the season

Henry's expressionless face makes me want to punch him in the gut.

We should have intentionally walked Votto.  The game might still be going.

I would have slightly approved of the unintentional intentional.

He may have actually thrown the pitches in the strike zone in the attempt and they would've ended up as wild pitches.

Maybe it's best if tomorrow's game gets rained out. We may need a day or two to recover from this disaster.

I'd rather get back out there ASAP just so we can put this one behind us.  Not gonna happen though.

Oh yeah, in full force.  It's so puzzling that he can be dominant one night, then absolutely awful the next night.

He can't throw strikes. That's his downfall. Davey Johnson is a fool

But he struck out three hitters on 10 pitches last night.  That's the puzzling thing - he CAN be really good.

Davey is HIGH. He just said he'll stick with HRod as closer.

So you're saying that if you could morph Rodriguez with Zimmermann you'd have the perfect combination?

Johnson just said that HRod is still the closer "just a bump in the road".

Lol davey says he's going to stick with Henry in save situations because he's "throwing the ball good"

It's a roll of the dice and it sounds like Rizzo and Davey are going to hope for 7s instead of snake eyes. Good luck on that.

I still have playoff hopes.  Remember that we are doing this without morse or a capable closer.  We'll be a lot better when storen and morse come back

By that same logical so will the Phillies.

Left in the 6th, came back just in time to watch H-Rod walk two consecutive batters to load the bases with 2 out and give it up to Votto.  Sweet life.

Honestly I still think we have a shot at the playoffs, assuming this is the hard part. If we keep losing players, we'll be lucky to field a AAAA team. The odds would have been a hell of lot better if we didn't depend on so many marginal hitters coming into the season.

I still think we make it, as well.
