Tyler Moore could DESTROY Kyle Kendricks and his 6+ ERA. Chad Tracy can barely make it to the outfield.

This is the kind of matchup that you want to use Tyler Moore.

If Davey Johnson thinks Chad Tracy, Mark DeRosa and Xavier Nady are good players then there's something wrong with Davey Johnson.

I have to admit I was pissed Moore was not in there last night. I can see maybe he doesn't want to put him in there tonight for a heated game with a div rival in front of a big house...

Because Tracy already has experience sucking in those situations?

If he didn't play when Saunders pitched, then he is not going to play against a righty, either.  Maybe he is the sacrificial goat to Hamels.

No. Davey said he would play Nady.

haha the GOON is one of my favorite new posters.

as far as the natitude/teddy/etc crap ... it's the same people over and over again that make it a big deal.  SHUT UP.  if you want to complain/debate/compliment something ... focus on baseball itself (like how in the world is tyler moore not in the line-up).

Because you never complain about anything off the baseball field.

then the call up was sheer idiocy,r a conflict between Rizzo and Davey, or both.

This makes no freaking sense.  Did Moore bang Davey's grand daughter or something?

The difference is that Saunders is much better than Kendricks.  If you want to simulate minor league pitching in the majors, Kyle Kendricks is your man.  That's why you go with Moore in this game.

Moore might not be good (though we don't know that for sure yet) but he might be good enough. And, for the sake of the franchise, it's better to see Moore play than the Tracys, DeRosas and Nadys of the world.  We already know they suck!

my conspiracy theory is now that if he kept on raking there would be clamour to call him up and play him, but that would mess up some color coded chart in Rizzo's office, so calling him up and sitting him made more sense

I'll lose all hope if Moore isn't starting against Hamels on Sunday night.

On Mid Atlantic Sports Report today Mel Antonen was raving about how good Harper looks so far and---the Baltimore knives came out. The two Ballmer boys were yelling ' Oh yeah he's Babe Ruth, how about Mantle."--I paraphrase but this was the attitude. Turned it off, might as well have McPoop on the show.

I have no problem with a platoon.  He's just doing the wrong platoon.  It shouldn't be a lefty-righty platoon but a good pitcher-bad pitcher platoon.  At this point in his development, Moore should play against the bad pitchers...and despite what our offense usually does, there are a lot of bad pitchers in the major leagues.   Tracy and Nady, ie the cannon fodder should be used against the good pitchers.

If Tyler Moore get ahold of a pitch from a bad pitcher, the ball is going to go very far.  That's a certainly because he's a hitting beast.  There's much less of a certainly that would happen with Nady and Tracy.  Add to it that these would be bad pitchers who have no book on Moore yet.  The book is extensive on Nady and Tracy and every page of it says they suck.

Tom Davis should pass out bbq sandwiches at Boog's.  That hack has no business talking about baseball on television.
