I was looking at this yesterday....this game looks amazing...too bad I will have to buy a 360 along with it.

Actually, MLB 2k7 is available on Xbox 360, Xbox, Playstation 3, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, and Game Boy Advance.

Tom do you work for BP?  LOL!  You quote them more than anybody I know!

Sens, I finally plunked down my $39.95, for a full year of full access to BP, and I intend to leverage this major investment to the fullest.  Some other folks are Baseball America types, and more power to them.  But BP is my fav, and it's going to be non-stop statistical streaming (think like a stock market ticker tape) from now through the end of the season.  I pay the money, you get the benefit.  Could it possibly be any better?

Now as an aside, I'd like to add some smileys to this post, so that Sens realizes my tongue is planted firmly in cheek.  I quote:  "With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently."  Now if it's so damned convenient, why can't I find the smiley's registry anywhere on this screen?  What am I missing here?

Just reserved my copy today for the 360, as well as purchasing Madden 07 for the Wii.  For those of you who didn't know, the game is coming out March 6th.  If you want it ASAP, you'd best reserve it.

Not to get too off-subject here (the topic is MLB 2K7) but to chime in, what that means is you can use smilies by symbols.

AKA if you type in  :)  a smiley face will appear.

Yep, I subscribe to Game Informer.  They usually rate sports games high, mostly because you can play sports games over and over again.  They really stressed in the article that this game was great mostly for it's stunning graphics.

i have the game for 360, a couple notes:

a lot of the players look amazing, jpatt and NJ the closest to their real life counterparts, Zimmerman is pretty close.

In my first game Zimmerman hit a 2run HR to tie it in the 12 innning and he did this celebration where he held his bat out and just stared at the ball until it went over the fence and he flicked the bat off.

really good game so far

I played the demo on my 360 (now that MS fixed it).

I'm impressed by the visuals. really impressed.

pitching is cool, i like how the Catcher "calls the game" for you, suggesting pitches and locations and such.

hitting.....I still gotta get the timing down, i guess. I always swing late on everything heh.

oh, and in case nobody figured it out...

Luis Ayala *is* in the game, but he is one of the Generic players you have to edit his name.

his generic name is Larry Alexander.

everything else about him except his face and name are correct(i.e. Number, height, weight, pitches, ratings, etc.).
