You guys are spoiled.

Doubt you get MASN in Canada but the production values on everything MASN touches is awful. They don't have the Midas touch, they have he fecal finger of bad.

I don't care if the games are on MASN or someother network. I just want a broadcast on the level I see for most other teams. It feels like the broadcast quality is about a decade behind.

And while everyone else freshens up their on-screen graphics every few years, the ones on MASN are close to ten years old. They're starting to look really dated.

Almost always, I watch the opposing team's broadcast, but that also has to do with FP being a freaking idiot.

Now that I'm solely on MLB.TV, it's crappy broadcasts with C&D on audio.

I watch every game on MASN on my MLBTV.

I grew up with only this:

Now we can watch any game we want on our phones. I used to watch maybe 15 games a year in French with bad camera angles. Now I catch over 150, and can watch them on delay if I want. And as a secondary Mariners fan, I can tell you Root Sports is no better than MASN.

I hope it bankrupts Angelos and he sells the team and it moves to Nashville or somewhere.

Sounds good to me.

I never heard DvH. Only the French guys. Forget their names.

Why don't I remember where you are from?

Single Payer will never happen. Ever.

Calgary, here...Saskatchewan, growing up.  and, yeah, for listening to dave when the English broadcasts were sparsely available, obviously, but I would watch them on the French feed when I could, too..

Yeah.  Montreal will get another MLB team first.

hmmm, my first inclination was to say "yes"...but, I'm actually thinking it was cbc?  it was quite some time until we had cable, too, and I think(?) it was a while until tsn made an appearance..

I'm still waiting for them to say whether the ticket sales (from my Nats full-STH account) via StubHub will continue in the coming season - with my medical issues I've a lot of evening-match tickets to move.

Wait, it's actually a possibility this might not happen? That would be absurd. Especially because StubHub has a contract with MLB

100% chance you will still be able to sell via StubHub. This may end in the future (each team does their own deal) but it would be replaced by an in house MLB resale site.

Be prepared for the ticket office to call you if you put a lot of tix on StubHub.  A few years ago our house flooded and we had to live in a hotel for 5 weeks while things were cleaned up. With everything going on during that time we were not able to go to games, so I was putting them on StubHub. For the first few games it was fine.  But then an hour after I put another game on StubHub I got a call from the ticket office demanding to know why I was putting so many tickets on StubHub.

...which was a key reason why I didn't renew last year. If they think antagonizing their ticket holders this way is the way to go, see how clueless approaches like this work when the team slips in the standings after the current window.

Can't tell you exactly what I said because I don't think you're a member of the uncensored section.  Like Five Banners, that kind of crap was a major factor in my decision not to renew.

The Talk Nats blog is going to try putting together a resale page for ticket holders to sell tickets at face value. This would avoid the 25% Stubhub fees and the fact that Stubhub reports all sales to the Nats. I'm a little pessimistic about how successful this will be, Stubhub is successful because there are hundreds of sellers and thousands of buyers. Hopefully though they get enough traffic to make for a viable alternative. (If it were up to me I would not limit resales at face value, if I'm taking a loss on the weekday Marlins games why shouldn't I make a buck on the popular games?)

as a frequent buyer, good luck selling at face value; you may get it for premium games, but good luck against the marlins on a random weekday night in August
