Newsroom is back?  I must abandon my schoolwork immediately and watch this

its the same as last season (at least appears so after 1 episode). sorkin will make all the female characters look weak-minded and behind the men, and he will get angry at the news media for making a mistake or not covering an event perfectly like he would in his mind

i still watch it, but sorkin is literally so predictable

Predictable but thought-provoking.

in the, most people now realize the news media is a joke for a myriad of reasons, but here's a show about it with witty dialog

newsroom was so liberal last year, i gave up after 4 episodes, but i can see myself picking it back up.

still need to catch up with how i met your mother and boardwalk empire.  i like ray donovan so far.  didn't get to watch the bridge, but will do this week.

I think the first 15 minutes of the very first episode was some of the best television I've ever seen.

The rest of the show is okay. But I tend to agree with last season's anti-TEA Party groove, so... maybe I'm disqualified.

Sorkin also has the benefit of 20/20 hindsight. He's setting up a height-of-journalistic-accomplishment that cannot be matched.

If you liked "Whose Line is it Anyway" back with it was on ABC, well, it's coming back tonight on CW.

eh, doesnt really break any new ground. look at last year. sorkin saying THE NEWS MEDIA OVER-COVERED CASEY ANTHONY AND PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES ARE STUPID isnt new information. he presents his perfect world of news media that i would hope would be realistic but is probably not.

i also have a major issue with how he makes every female character incredibly weak.

but my roommate and i still watch it because it's not a bad show, just very flawed and at times just absurd.

bbc news is pretty close, if you stream NYT and WSJ have content that is great, if you prefer reading, you can add the economist to the list. Just because mass market journalism is crap - then again, if you read historic papers, it hard to argue this hasn't always been the case, doesn't mean good journalism doesn't exist (just that there is no appetite for it)

I'm enjoying Under the Dome, too bad Barbee killed Peter (do we really know for sure?) cause he's seems like a good guy compared to 'Big Jim'. Oh, and the butt doesn't hurt.

no, of course. im talking about TV news. there are obviously lots of good journalistic outlets. im talking about mass media/TV networks, which is what sorkin is comparing his fake TV station too.

anyone else stop what they are doing when a new MIMITW commercial airs?  The new one is great:
- he once parallel parked a train
- his 2 cents are worth $37 and change
- it has never been "his bad" (maybe the best line they've ever had)

Poor Louis. :( As much as an ahole as he was early on, he's really turned into a likeable character. I feel like the show would have been better if Mike went with Louis. Now it's just him back with Harvey. I know that's what the show is built around but it would be a nice change of pace and good for story evolution.

And forget Rachel, Donna is sooooo hot.

Yeah, I actually like Louis now. Harvey was being a total doucher I'm disappointed they made the predictable move and had Mike go back to him. Hopefully some other form of shake up happens.

And Scotty is my favorite lady on the show, she's beautiful.

Just finished Orange is the new Black. Some of the flashback pieces seem a little slow in the beginning, but after the first couple when they start going to the backstories of the other convicts it moves very quickly, and the end of episode 13 is epic. I already want them to do another season of this show.

The Walking Dead Season 4 trailer was very cool but I felt like it either spoiled a lot of things or opened up a lot of room for unnecessary questions and assumptions.

Under The Dome has gotten us hooked.  Last week was about a government missile not penetrating the dome.
