From mlbtr concerning the rangers.
Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel tweets that the Rangers were impressed with how trim and fit Fielder looked in their meeting yesterday.

because telling him that he's fat would have helped negotiations

Alright.  Truce.

And you're right.  I have come to accept it.  Despite the owners' unwillingness to really spend on the team, I continue to go to games and support the team.  The cheapness is just something that I may have to live with going forward.

So, anyway, despite all of that, I still think it makes sense to sign Fielder if he'll come here on a reasonable deal.  If it means they have to trade Zim, then even that it still might make sense.

I still go to games, just not as many.  I understand that the ownership may be unwilling to spend, but I will never accept that.  If you accept it, they have no incentive to change.

Perhaps if we threw in a little red Corvette it would sweeten the pot just enough?

Prince strikes more of a Cadillac Escalade type.

He's looking for The Cross, hoping it's not a Sign o' the Times, and asking that you not ask about his Dirty Mind*.

*Yes, I'm a HUGE Prince fan.  Even played him in a tribute band.

It is impressive watching someone with his girth motor the way he does. He might be husky, but he sure does hustle.

Prince Fielder was seen driving a pretty nagging Ferrari in Chicago by a friend of mine.  He said he still looked fat when he got out it.

Yes.  "Purple Rain" might be the greatest song of the 20th century.

One time a buddy at work said "You're pretty maneuverable for... ya know... a bigger guy."  Great, people use the same adjectives to describe me as they would for a full size SUV :?

Don't get me wrong, that whole album was awesome, I just think Doves edges out Purple Rain.
