I doubt that Prince Fielder really cares about anything Morgan would have to say about pretty much anything, including the Nats or Jayson Werth.

In fact I'll bet part of the reason Fielder is getting out of there is Morgan.  Fielder is perceptive enough to realize the potential damage Morgan can do to that clubhouse.

Makes sense to me.

I doubt it has anything to do with Morgan. All the guys in the clubhouse got along with Nyjer just fine and he made the post game celebrations more fun with his George Washington-Elvis style hat.

Though it was said before, I guess Holden was just talking or is currently talking with Cecil:

Quote
@Holdenradio - Cecil Fielder talking to us about Prince playing for the #Nationals, "I think that's gonna happen". That's his personal feeling.

The next tweet says that Cecil spoke with Prince on Christmas eve, so while this does indicate that the Nats have been pursuing Prince for a while now, it also means that his information is dated.

Pretty sure that if I was negotiating a nine figure contract that I wouldn't want my father going public with his opinion on the matter.

Huh? He was responding to quite the stretch of the imagination by Ray, saying that Prince would leave Milwaukee not over dollars but because of Nyjer's antics.

It has been documented/claimed by many a journalist that Nyjer was a sparkplug and got along great with the Brewers clubhouse last year. Nothing pretend insider about Bloo's post.

I forget who said it, couple pages back, but I do believe they were right. If we sign Prince, it's going to happen sometime this week versus now. No way will they try to fight the NFL playoffs.

No I said it was probably a factor.  Nyjer might not have been a negative force in the clubhouse in 2011 but he was tending in that direction, and will likely be a negative force in 2012.  I think Fielder sensed that.  Of course he didn't base his decision to leave on that alone.  But he was probably smart enough to factor it into the equation.

I really hope the Nats start with low years. I just don't want him signing a 10 year deal. 5 would be ideal. I could live with 6

Trimmed the BS.  Apparently I need to remind everyone to keep it civil, or at least refrain from outright insults :?

That Lerner / boras video:  is there some site or soft war that allows you to create those videos or is it one guy (group) that does them all?  I loved the Werth and Cliff Lee one last year, and the one where Tom Coughlin gets on his punter's case for kickign to the eagles kick returner last year was good too.
