Don't laugh. Werth might cause the LAC to go cheap on their next attitude addition. Hello FLop! Welcome to the 2012 Nats!

How many batters got drilled by pitches in spring training because of Nyjer? What was it, 3 or 4?

I'm pretty sure that was the last straw for management.

Seriously, you're still pissing off opposing teams so bad that they're drilling our players in Spring Frickin Training?

His time was done here.

I just want to dispel any revisionist notions that Nyjer was traded for good reasons and not out of spite.

And now with the restriction on openly gay members lifted, could be a whole new foxhole ambience.   At least they should be better decorated.

  Did you mean ambiance tomterp?

Both spellings pass my spellcheck, I think ambiance is perhaps the Americanized version, ambience the original french.

Great points, Nyjer behaved very badly toward the end of his time here.  Funny that he didn't have these problems with the Brew Crew.  What did Milwaukee do better than us that brought out the best in the guy rather than the worst?

Anyone remember '09 Nyjer? That guy was awesome. For some reason, he went nuts in '10.

That's easy. Milwaukee didn't do anything.  Nyjer had the good fortune to play well the entire season. When he's playing well his behavior is better than when he plays poorly.  His behavior was exemplary in 2009, during the two months that he played well.  His behavior gradually darkened during the 2010 season as things were not going as well for him.  It is doubtful that he will maintain his good performance, and it is inevitable that the real Nyjer Morgan will be exposed to the Milwaukee fans sometime next season.

Likely yes, but certainly not inevitable.

Did we see the real Jayson Werth this year?  Let's hope not.

I suspect that Morgan is borderline crazy. There is nothing team management can do or not do.

This year, we saw the same old Nyjer Morgan in his attempts to insult Pujols. Pathetic. Morgan is barely a major leaguer; Morgan stomped his glove while the ball was in play; Pujols is an MVP.

Nyjer exhibits the typical behaviours of a cokehead.  It's entirely possible the dude isn't snowblind 24/7 and is just an unmedicated ADD azzhat, but I'm leaning towards the dude having a problem with The Lady.

Coke fits the behavior.

Unless he's pissing fake urine, he's not a coke head.

It's gone from urine in a couple of days and the bloodstream in a two or three weeks.  Unless MLB is doing blood testing (unlikely) instead of the urine testing once or twice a season he could easily pass.

It's random testing. And I'm sure its more than twice a year. But no blood test yet. I think that comes with next CBA.

It's not coke

There's no doubt in my mind that Morgan has a chemical imbalance, bipolar disorder is my guess. Sometimes he's fine, sometimes he's really really down, sometimes he's completely out of control - it would fit the pattern.

Anyway, what Washington did or didn't do or what Milwaukee is or isn't doing is completely irrelevant when you're dealing with what I believe is an obvious mood disorder.

Serious question, have you ever lived with someone that's bipolar?

Yes sir, an immediate family member.

I'm sadly, an expert on the matter

Same here, I can see some of that with Nyjer but I tend to think the guy might just be a high strung azzhole.

Well, there are varying degrees of the disorder, my family member is a rapid cycler and simply cannot function without diligent medication.

it may not be as severe with Morgan - still his high and lows are extreme though, don't you think? it's just not reasonable to completely dissolve when things start to turn a little and the hijinks are so over the top

I don't know, but I see that in him
