Uh ... I'm pretty sure the Nats have done that exact same thing this year

Why does Werth suck so much? He never works the count into his favor. He always takes meat fastballs for strikes to let the pitcher get ahead and then he chases strike 3.

Pitchers know he won't swing early in the count so they just toss in BP fastballs down the middle for strike 1 and 2.

Well, at least the ump is consistently tight with the strike zone no matter who is the pitcher

He's more worried about whatever stunt he's going to pull with the President's race.

It seemed to me that Detwiler unraveled when he didn't get that third strike, on the looping curve, to the first hitter. Focus? Concentration? Confidence?

I see a balester jersey in red porch.  Anyone?

Not me this time!

Maybe it's that damn "tom terp" come back to haunt me again.  Had half the MLB board thinking I was an Orioles fan.  POS.

4 strikeouts in the first two innings, four strikes in the third... looking shaky now...

Is Detwiler losing focus?

That would be silly on his part.  The # of spots in the 2012 rotation are fast dwindling, in view of the apparently imminent Wang signing.
