Matt Stairs struck out looking.

Signing 43-year-old Stairs for $1 million was one of the most idiotic moves the Nationals made, since baseball returned to Washington in 2005.
Wang signing??????????

Every time Carp says pitcher Street's name, I can't help think of Jason Street from Friday Night Lights.

I freakin' love that show.

meanwhile, chris marrero's average is @ .302 in AAA ... let's continue to keep stairs up here for important ABs.

1.  Major League dogma says it's up to the runner when the play is in front of him.

2.  He wasn't to supposed to leave the base in the first place (or least play it "half way") until he sees the ball is not caught.

Just sayin' But they do look for the sign from the coach.

he's not getting anything today.  he's 0-for-3 with some bad ABs.

I'd love if we averaged 29k attendance next year or down the road.

So would the Lerners. They would salivate at the prospect of raking in more money while spending the barebones minimum.

You want Marrero to sit the bench and only pinch hit from time to time?

Do we put up a fight here or do we die quietly and without a struggle?  :?

Wang signing??????????

Since Wang is now making rehab starts, I expect we'll see him pitching very soon.  It seemed like an odd move, but he could actually help the Nationals get back on track.

I thought it was funny he picked up on SF so early in his posting career.

He'd get about 6 AB per week if he was called up. I'd call up Aubrey instead.

 :icon_question:

Flores didn't play in the Majors until '07.

Maybe you're thinking of Wil Nieves?

... or when the Japanese attacked Ft. Sumter?
