Zimmermann got so freaked.  Pitched masterfully.

What a pathetic game. Bixler and Stairs are downright horrible. Ugh. Back to 2009 form I see.

11th shutout of the season and it's not even the All-Star break.

Thanks for the roster, Rizzo!  >:(

.500 was nice.  See it again someday...

not this year.  it doesn't matter who manages this club.  we just don't have a lot of talent on it.

3 games and I think I put Davey Johnson's WAR at maybe -1.5 to -1 so far...am I being ridiculous?

Tha AL is crap - good riddance, fake baseball. Come home and win, boys.

That statement makes no sense.  We don't have a DH or any roster depth thanks to Mike "Say My Name" Rizzo and with Hairston likely done will have nobody outside of Bixler and Werth on the bench.  freak you Rizzo, freak the Lerners and freak Riggleman for not quitting sooner.

So much for an "easy" home stand before the break, Rockies and Pirates both have equal or better records as us :?

I'd even take a "Matt Stares banished to the Maritimes" move.

We were shutout 14 times all last season.  We've been shutout 11 times already this season, BEFORE THE ALL STAR BREAK!

Well, nobody has thrown a no-hitter against the Nats.

and somehow one game below .500.

going to be a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGG flight home, all we needed is one win in LA and they would be feeling good about themselves and 41-40.  now 40-41 and your ace lost in a game where he gave up no earned runs in a complete game.

Totally agree. Keeping Lannan in the 6th Monday along with the Stairs and Bixler free 9th inning outs tonight are mind boggling.

I thought (bad thoughts) about Stairs and Bixler, but then could not remember anyone available to pinch-hit. Did they have anyone left?

Haren left a lot of pitches up.  Give him credit because he put his team in position to win and pitched well.  But so did
Jordan Zimmermann.

And those blaming Johnson, I didn't like the line-up either, but again he's using the guys available to him.

I really wish this team had some offense.  They'd be a lot more fun to watch.

I don't think so.. but in my opinion at least, he could have made a much better order with the players available.

Just checked...they had Nix and Ramos. Why not use Ramos at DH? Why not leave Stairs at the hotel? Give him a plane ticket to Tahiti and a nice watch, and say, "You have retired"?

The only way Davey Johnson could have accumulated -1.5 WAR would be to replace the entire Nats lineup with single-A players.  Try to be reasonable, guys.  Outside of Stairs, these are the exact same guys Riggleman would have started.

Nix has an injured achilles, they are trying to avoid using him for a few days.

What about the deciding run when he kept Lannan in Monday night?
