HE DIDN'T ASK FOR HELP!
Exactly, he made the freaking call 'OUT' and only asked for help after the Nats were in the dugout and Ozzie came out to argue

No freakin way the home plate ump could overrule that crap.
Lets ask Jim Joyce!

What a freakin' joke... That was a helluva play by Morse on a bad throw by Desi. I'm really liking McLaren right now. Hopefully Burnett can get Dunn out.

Do they protest this to the league?

He called him out. You can't change the call. He called him out!! it's a bang-bang human call. And he called him out

You can absolutely change the call.  Yes you can.  The only calls you cannot argue and change are balls and strikes.

I will say this - McLaren got his money's worth.  Those umps ears are going to be ringing for quite a while after that.  Deservedly so, too.

Looking at the replay.  There is no way the homeplate umpire could see whether he was tagged or not!

It's awesome that on what will likely be the most inspected Nats game since Strasburg's debut that McLaren got filmed telling each ump in the crew individually to go freak themselves. What a thing of beauty.

It's a bang bang play and he called him out. It's a judgement call. He called him out. There is no excuse to overrule him.

How did the HP umpire see anything?

It's the 1B ump's call!!!!!! Konerko got tagged

On what basis?  The umpire in position made the call one way, somebody across the field is going to overrule?  BS

Perhaps, but I'm not complaining as long as he made the right call if umpires are going to start actually overruling bad calls.I don't, but you'd expect the runner to have tripped if he was really tagged on the foot.

I'm fine with that but the rules don't allow for it.

If you looked at the replay, can you tell if he was tagged or not?

How many more people need to get tossed before Pudge manages? Is he after the House speaker or before the pro tem of the Senate?

OK smart guys how does Hairston getting tossed help in a 2-0 game?  Hairston cares and that is cool but he is more valuable to the team than Bixler.

No. It looked like he may have grazed his shin guard or cleat, but it's damn near impossible to tell.

You are wrong. Wrong wrong wrong.

How could the HP ump see that play? How can you change a judgement call? It's a bang bang play?

If you allow this crap to happen, it opens up a whole nother can of worms.

Dunn just hurry up and hit a homer so we can win this in the ninth again.
