Can Hairston still run well enough to steal?

Against the Sox?  I have enough speed.   Hairston already has one steal tonight, too.

last year, their pen was their strong suit wasn't it?

Their reliever ERA is 22nd this season.

Werth OPS 166 points lower than what he did last year with the Phillies. Absolutely atrocious and really disappointing. I was hoping he could at least duplicate what he did with them.

Werth is such a bust so far. I'd bat him 9th in the lineup until he turns it around permanently. This crap just doesn't cut it. It's not just a slump. It's way beyond that.

Your bro is getting to you.

What, I think I was the one that started the convo. He has been hitting pretty well recently!

Ozzie Guillen rarely lets pitchers go past 100 pitches, but Jackson may be an exception. He threw an absurdly high number of pitches in his no-hitter in Arizona, upwards of 140 I believe.

Going to suck when we make one mistake and give up a run or two to lose this one.

I must have been out walking the dog.  Hairston performing on a one year deal and managing not to quit.  Nice.

Our starting pitchers shouldn't have to be so perfect/fine. There is no room for error.

Even giving up 1 run in 7 innings is enough for a loss. So bad.

This sucks. I know we have been hot lately but there is no way in hell we can finish the season .500 or better with an offense this anemic. There is no way in hell. Our luck will run out eventually. These guys have to start hitting or we are freaked. Instead of winning all these low scoring duels we will start to lose them.

Damn that's 3 pretty well hit balls in a row against JZ.  Might be time to pull him.
