And these are pitchers who had NEVER had a career hit prior to this series.  Sheesh.

Career hit?   Didn't have a career at-bat!

Say what you want about his plate presence, but Cora is a solid defensive player and a good backup to have.

God, I'm smart.

It's too bad we ended up with LaRoche instead of Derek Lee.

How many people are jumping off buildings in this gameday thread?

aside from Sportsfan.

A lot, surprisingly.

We've won the series and are in the best shape we've been all year. I don't get it. This is just one game in the grand scheme of things.

Alright, if we don't show any heart in the bottom of the seventh, I'm going to go outside and mow the lawn.

I didn't expect us to go this long of a streak but if things are turning around we wait for more than one game to see if this teams going back in the gutter.

This also applies to Gorzelanny, IMO. We've given every pitcher the same patience so Gorzelanny deserves it too.

Nats offseason aquisitions: Werth, LaRoche, and Gorzelanny

Is Mike Rizzo Zim's throwing coach? Hmmmmm.

He has a .274 wOBA and a 68 wRC+... though admittedly it isn't much worse than Desmond's .284/74

Worse than average, worse than average for a short stop, worse than his career average... I mean, you can like his defense all you want but he's definitely not "hitting well this year."

He's not TERRIBLE, he's just "not great."  He's a very good piece as a backup/spot starter.

Man I'm starting to think the Nationals aren't gonna win the next 91 straight games

O's pitcher is now #43.

4 = 3 = 7

We want ALL of our TV revenue, O's announcers.  Take Angelos back to hell.

He's pretty terrible.  Of Nats batters with 100 plate appearances, only Ankiel and LaRoche have hit worse, and the batters below him on other teams are littered with hitters on the DL.
