I think the title is a bit misleading, but regardless this is why I don't think Livo will be back next year regardless of his on-field performance.  Innocent until proven guilty, but you can't fault the FO if they want to wash their hands of it after the season.

For those that don't want to read the whole story...

- Livo had two cars, sold them to the drug dealers
- Livo bought and owned a warehouse which he let the dealers use as their home base
- Livo would buy things legally, keep it in his name, and give it to the dealers

Only quote from Livo in the article

Quote
"When something bad happens, like now, there are no facts, only things that come from people talking, and now Livan is the problem,” Mr. Hernandez said in remarks translated from Spanish. “Everyone who knows me knows I’m not like that.

“It’s another thing what they say I’ve done. I’ve had 60 things that no one has talked about. It bothers me because they say things that aren’t true. They make people think bad things. … I know that the press treats me differently and it bothers me because we’ve done many good things in Puerto Rico, many good things with children.”

This is why we can't have nice things, like a winning road trip.

Something bad always happens to put us back in our place.

The "we have done good things", not "I" is troubling . . .

I jsut read the story.

What exactly was Livo getting out of the relationship?  The story mentioned some hotel room stays but Livo should have plenty of money at this point.

Was he childhood friends with any of these characters?

If this is true, it's just ridiculously bad judgement and could be yet another case of an athlete thinking he's above the law and can't get caught.  Just stupidity.

I definitely need to see more facts on the case - good for the Washington Times in getting this story out.  Now they need to dig deeper.

This.  It looks bad and I'm certainly not going to pretend there's no chance he's guilty, but I'm not going to automatically convict him based on hearsay and a couple of headlines like some people seem ready to.

Linty, looks like one of your boys may get a shot at the show next year without having to move Lannan.

What, drug dealers aren't allowed to give back to the community?

Wait...guy in Miami with money ends up in some kind of business relationship with people who turn out to be in the biz?  Shocking.  Yawn.

I know at least 3 guys in Miami who already have sold their rings they're picking up this week to drug lords.

Oh, wait.
