How long of a walk is it from the Eastern Market to Nats Park? Also if it is too far is there cheap or free parking anywhere near there?

You can walk that or take the Circulator bus to Eastern Market.

The Capitol South station, only one stop away, is about a 10-minute walk north of the Stadium.  Lots of people make that walk, especially after games to avoid the crowding on the Green Line and to eliminate the need to transfer to the Orange or Blue lines.

Eastern Market is near 8th St.  It would be a 2 or so block walk down to M and then 3-4 block walk down to near the yards.  Nor much parking around there as I recall.  I used to work at the Navy Yard.

My parking lot is right there at Eastern Market so I have walked from there to the stadium and back many times.  It depends whether you are walking alone (and are a fast walker) or walking along with someone who doesn't walk fast.  But alone, it's less than a 30 minute walk. 

Go down 7th to South Carolina, which I think becomes E st., go south on 4th st. one block and then pick up S. Carolina again for one block to 3rd st.   Take 3rd all the way to M, then right on M.   Third street is good because it goes under the freeway.

I like hitting Eastern Market after day games and getting stuff to throw on the grill.

It's an easy 15 min walk from Eastern Market to Nats Park.

its a bit farther than than. eastern market metro is at about D, that would make M street like 8 or so blocks away. then you have 8 blocks to get to s.capitol

Dave last time I worked at WNY, was 2001 or so.  All I remember is taking a bus down 8th to M.  At the time I didn't want to walk it.
