JCA - Sox pick.  Whaddaya think?
Would have been happy with Meyer or Barnes.  I did a yah! when I heard it.  I hope Meyer drops to 23 so the Nats can decide whether they want him.  I'm thinking the Nats go pitcher.

BTW - for the next 10 - 15 picks or so, the Nats and sox have a pair each.

You know Rizzo wants his boy Alex Meyer. I wouldn't be too opposed to taking him here with the 23rd overall pick. Not bad at all.

Tyler Anderson would be safer.

Maybe a HS bat

Yea I know would be fine with Meyer just not a fan of the inconsistency...We picked up a relatively high floor guy in Rendon would like to take a high ceiling risk in one of the next two picks Norris fits that description.

Guys, check out this tidbit about George Springer.

"As he and his teammates were horsing around prior to a game in San Diego this March, Springer leapt up and touched his palm to the dugout roof -- a height of about 11 feet."

Meyer, Mahtook, Norris, Guerrieri

Sounds good. I'd like one of those pitchers, since our first pick was a great bat.

He played 2B this year, said he's willing to do anything including catch and pitch. It's not anything to worry about.

He trained as a gymnast before baseball.

Apparently that's the thinking, but they plan on playing him at 3B for now.

I'd like them to load up on position players.

If not, LHP.

He has actually played literally every position in HS and/or college: 1B, 2B, 3B at Rice, SS, C, limited OF, and even pitcher in high school.

I'd like to get some OFers.  Mahtook's as good as any available right now.

It means the Jays will have to pay through the nose in order to get him to NOT go to college.

So then how is he "Committed?"  Obviously it's not that big of a commitment if he can just not do it.
