Pretty sure Rendon wouldn't play 2B unless Espi completely bombs out.

Which one of you are going to update Rendon's wikipedia page?

Hard to beat Strasburg-Harper-Rendon in thee straight drafts. Wow. Writing the Nats Top 30 list has gotten a lot more fun in recent years.

Jimbo is happy with the pick. I'm not sure that is a good thing though.

Quote
Jim Bowden: The Washington Nationals selected the best hitter in this draft in Anthony Rendon....this kid can really hit.....he can play 1B for them...i expect him to hit .300 with 20 HR's.......between Strasburg, Harper and Rendon.....pretty good 3 years of drafting first

Great pick for the Nats, we needed another hitter badly, now get some pitching with the next two picks.

Baseball Prospectus/America thinks we are officially the best thing since sliced bread.

Kevin Goldstein: Well, Rizzo got the top player ENTERING the draft year three years in a row.
Aaron Fitt: Hard to beat Strasburg-Harper-Rendon in thee straight drafts. Wow. Writing the Nats Top 30 list has gotten a lot more fun in recent years.

Sign Rendon tomorrow.

Go surgery on his shoulder on Thursday and get him ready for 2012!

Better yet, get an MRI and find out it's ready to go!

WOW!!!! That is all I have to say no one saw this happening...Rizzo and Co. probably don't even know where they want to move him yet.

Put him in LF TOMORROW.
:lmao:

post of the year.

but i agree.  he could move to 1B or LF.  or if desmond is not the answer then have espinosa go back to SS and rendon @ 2B.  although espy has been killin it @ 2B.

They just interviewed Rendon on MLB.tv.  He seems like a good kid.   I like how he said he'd play any position - he just wants to get on the field.

What do you think?

1B?  LF?  SS?

Espinosa to SS, Rendon to 2B is the move eventually.

Seemed happy to be drafted by the Nats too. He's a Boras client but I don't think this signing will go all the way down to the wire. He doesn't have too much leverage.

What do people think about moving him to 2B, Espinosa to SS and Desmond to CF...
