For those going this afternoon (WEEKDAY AFTERNOON BASEBALL RULES!)

Yahoo! Weather has 'Sunshine this morning then scattered strong thunderstorms developing this afternoon. Storms may produce large hail and strong winds. High 94F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%'. Capital Weather Gang's NatCast has 'Hot, humid and uncomfortable at the ballpark today. A thunderstorm could disrupt the game, but it might be welcome nonetheless to break the heat', temperature upper 80's to mid-90's and 50% chance of rain.

Sorry, man, I actually love time series analysis, it's one of my favorite subjects.

Dickey-Fuller would be so proud.  I like Time Series too but people are more interested in paying me to do this cross sectional nonsense.

All kidding aside - I've met David Dickey a number of times and he's totally aces.

The Phillies own Lannan like no other.

He's 0-10 with a 6.44 ERA lifetime against the Phillies. Game over.

Replace Bernadina, Desmond, Cora, Lannan, and probably Nix, and that's a very respectable major league lineup!

Bernadina
Werth
Zimmerman
Nix
Morse
Espinosa
Ramos
Desmond

That's the lineup I'm looking forward to/hoping for when Zimmerman comes back.

I would agree but for now I'm fine with Nix in the lineup. I actually think todays lineup is the best we can put out with what we have. :hang:

Is Lannan really 0-10 lifetime against the Phillies?

You'd think at least once he'd run in to some good luck.

The Phillies' current roster is batting .327/.392/.530 off Lannan over 168 ABs.

Utley, Ibanez, and Howard each have 2 HRs off him.

Yeah ,but Espinosa has two off of Lee in far fewer AB's.

John Mclaren just called Adam LaRoche one of the best fielding first basemen of all time.

Obviously he hasn't been talking to JT "Gold Gloves" Snow.
