Why does Bixler constantly get starts over Nix? Screw matchups in this case. Nix is one of our best hitters. We need to ride that streak especially when we're facing someone like Cliff Lee.

Having Bixler on the roster is possibly even more baffling than continuing to carry Stairs.

and we're not making a big enough deal about it.  he is not a major league player and would not be on any other major league roster.  the freakin pirates cut him.

What right handed OF'er are we going to replace him with?

There's such a lack of options in this organization, it isn't even funny.

I mean, Nix against lefties > Bixler against lefties.

Well, I went 13 for 25 (.520) at the batting cage today from the right side.  I'll suit up for league minimum.  Good luck finding a jersey that fits though.

Wasn't Jeff Frazier lighting it up in ST?

How hard can it be to find somebody better than Bixler among currently available free agents?

Do relievers switch to the visitors' bullpen?

Nats relievers will be warming up on the street behind RF/1B.  The Nats normal bullpen is going to be set up as a cooling/aid station for Phillies fans.

Why don't we call up Craig Stammen as an OFer :stir:

J-Max, who would have had options available had Bowden not added him to the MLB roster prematurely because he hit well in POTOMAC

I'm all for replacing Bixler... I just don't know who's available in the 40 man that is right handed that isn't Marrero.

AZ would reemerge out of nowhere to remind us of Dukes' greatness, his All Star debut, HR derby championship and NL MVP awards.

Two RH free agent outfielders off top of my head Jose Guillen(mid 30's) and Jermaine Dye(late 30's).  There must be someone else out there or rotting on a bench.

I'd play Nix. He's the type of hitter that drives Lee nuts. Lee's forte is throwing strikes, Nix swing at every thing.
