So that's why we keep Stares on the roster. According to Johnny Holliday Stares is the regal citizen of the team because of what he has accomplished in his career and is highly respected by players on other teams.

bullcrap. it's because he's shorter than Mark Lerner

I'm at the park, it doesn't seem to be obvious what is going on here, but I'll keep looking around

In Carpenterbolic form, he "looks hitterish."

But I love the way he holds the bat when he's up.

He looks like he can hit.

FP ripping Werth. Finally, something from him other than cheery pablum.

Do you think he has to get permission to talk like that? I wonder if Werth knew he was going to do it, or if this is Werth's indirect penance.

Someone should tell Cantu that his vertical beard looks like... a runway. And yes, I mean that.

So when does Lannan collapse today, after two great innings?  I say the fourth inning.

How about no more switch-hitting, ever? A guy is almost always much worse from one side, just cut it out Danny.

OT: I'm sitting in 110 tomorrow with my not quite so mobile M-I-L (and my wife and son). How far back is row GG? I'm hoping it's pretty far back. Those deep steps will slow her down a lot.

How's the crowd look there? I thought about going for the free beer mug but ended up deciding to go tomorrow. Is it more packed than usual?

Yeah, you can call the ticket office, I haven't done it but have heard of it. I think MDS did it.
