ESPN: Nix was not listed in Tuesday's starting lineup in part because of a left foot issue, Amanda Comak of the Washington Times reports.

Spin:
The injury is reportedly minor, but it has now held Nix from two straight starting lineups. The Nationals have also faced left-handed starters in both games, and manager Jim Riggleman might have allowed him to play through it if the team's foe were a righty. The Nats face right-handed Zack Greinke on Wednesday, so that theory will be put to the test.

Mrs. de Sade just said "what is that fool thinking about?"  I then explained he's never really played LF.  Her response - "we're totally freaked".

And what, exactly, are we going to trade?  Laynce Nix's collection of "Debbie Does Dallas" flicks?  FP's GAP Kids suit collection?  Pudge's leftover roids?

The thing is, it was a great jump. He just has no idea how to time a fly ball.

:?  Those two plus a low minors prospect should net us this:

Maybe we can just put a wooden post over there with a mitt stapled to it...
