Pudge is making some good contact as of late.  Nice to see from the backup catcher.

Jordan was very good today.  Couple hard luck hits, but he buckled down after the 2nd.

He's arguably the worst player in the bigs.

If Bixler is all we have...how the hell can a team lose so much and their farm system still be so terrible!!!   >:(

Spurred by @acomak's last tweet, it occurs to me that Desmond, 25, is the lone position player under 30 in today's lineup. #Phase2

I'm not saying this is great... but it's way better than I thought it would be when I saw the lineup today.

Bixler's career Major League numbers:

.172/.231/.229 with 0 HRs, 8 BBs to 64 Ks, in 157 ABs.

You clearly didn't expect much if that's the case!

Awful. This team is going backwards. Where is the youth and future? Why are we so bare that we have to play all of these crummy old veterans?

I expected yesterday without the potential of Ramos. And the sure-handed-ness of Espinosa.

I do not understand why people are constantly taking shots at Rick Ankiel.  His bat is the least of our bat problems.

It's called injuries and off day for other players.

Sub .600 OPS. Decent amount of walks, not enough hits, no power.

He's better than a few of the others but not by much and should be nothing more than a backup 4th-5th outfielder.

Walks KILL.  Except when they're issued to the Nationals.
