Even if hammonds was :az: over Willingham, at least he had statistically reason to be. Willingham is a proven Major League OF'er. Dukes never was.

i'm not :az: over willingham, i'm just saying he's a better option than nix/morse.  but hopefully rodriguez can salvage the deal when he comes up.

I wonder if any of the people citing Willingham's 3-week numbers are the same people saying that our lineup is fine and the bats will come around.

Nice article on Souza, who's putting together a very good start to the season - slugging .744 so far.  Also scored 1560 on the SAT's, which may not help him all that much as a ballplayer, but it definitely can't hurt.

I find it hilarious that people are griping over Willinghams sub-.700 OPS right now, going on and on about his whopping 3 HRs (while ignoring his unbelievable K rate) and how we "miss his production on the Major League roster". Currently, Laynce Nix is out-hitting him. Will Hammer turn it around? Most likely,for a month or two. But we all know what will happen in the 2nd half of the season. Loved him when he was here, but I don't miss him at all.

I want to see what Rodriguez (Brown was an add-in and probably will never do much in the Majors at all) does in the majors before I boldly claim that Rizzo got pwned.

And one other thing -- the Nats have averaged almost 5 runs/gm in winning 8 of the last 12, scoring 59 runs, without Zimmerman....it won't continue, but it's sure nice to see. Just sayin' :)
