Is anyone on the Nats still here from the Expos ?  Seems like a good time to forget the Expos

Except that he was an Expo. Not a good reason, but a reason.

I agree. I think Bernadina is the last player with any ties to the Expos. I had forgotten about them by April 2005.

I honor and love the Expos, but this team is the Nationals. Washington has a baseball history that goes back to about 1860, and about 1870 as professionals. They were calld the Washington nationals...although fans persist in often calling them the Senators.

I hope FP learns Washington baseball tradition. When Ryan Zimmerman charges a slow-roller and bare-hands it and throws on the run, he's making the same play that awed fans watching Ken McMullen.

Welch for Phil Wood's job?

Desi was drafted by the Expos, too.

Sorry, but Bally was drafted by the Nationals.  Unfortunately, Livan won't be around next year

Doesn't he have a kid her age?  I still like when FP and Jose Canseco were Twatter fighting.

Livan Hernandez played for the Expos for two seasons (2003-04) leading up to the move and is the last big-league link (via various swings and roundabouts linking his past and current tenures here); Expo-era MLB Draft selections still at the Nats are Ballester, Desmond and Severino, and Bernadina entered the organisation as a free agent before the move.
