Watching Hot Stove now.

Ankiel = dominant left handed pitcher turned power hitting outfield = Babe Ruth.

Amiright?

He might not be a bad platoon starter versus RHP... but that's about it.

Are you one of those people who were concerned what would happen to Garrett Mock after the signing of Jason Marquis or what it meant to Rob Mackowiak after Adam Dunn was signed?

Don't you yearn for the days of Robert Fick, Michael Restovich, Mike O'Connor, and Wil Cordero?

This is, pardon the pun, from out in left field.  But I was walking down the street near my home last opening day (when Ankiel was in KC, the closest MLB team to me) and I saw that someone had written RICK ANKIEL SUCKS on the sidewalk in chalk.  I promise you I'm not kidding.

Why yes that would be fine but only if you sprinkle a little Santiago Ramirez, Mike Vento and Beltran Perez on top and a side dressing of Ryan Drese. thank you

2. Anytime he faces a left handed pitcher, he will strike out on four pitches, the fourth of which will be a curve ball that hits the dirt 12 inches in front of his foot. This will not stop him from swinging at it. It will in fact encourage him.

That sounds like Maxwell.

I think I have a bobblehead somewhere from when Ankiel was a pitcher and played for the Potomac Cannons!  Then he made it to the show and couldn't strike anyone out.  He's got quite an arm for an outfielder though.  Not sure if he's a stud of the Curly W though!  ;)
