auburn's park looks like a nice old-fashioned stadium (but built recently).  and it's not too far from syracuse.

They should be looking to move away from the north east, not closer to it.

Move the farm clubs to Richmond, or other Virginia/MD locations.

The quicker a player can get to D.C. the better.

The trick is getting the nice parks.  With even the single-A teams getting new ball parks it's difficult to justify relocating to a dump.

I think once Richmond leaves The Diamond, the Nats will finally come.

You'd have to change to the Appalachian League, and I honestly think the NYPL is a much better choice.

Unless you want to do something crazy like building a regional fanbase

See posts below about field condition, etc. Without a doubt, there's no way they have stadiums this nice in that league.

I wonder if the new stadium in Loudoun would eventually be suitable for A+.

Don't say Bye Bye Vermont just yet!  The Lake Monsters are now an affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.  Baseball continues in Vermont!

But, this pretty much spells the end of First Base Lady's visits to Nats Park, doesn't it?  Or will you still come to visit the former Lake Monsters still in the pipeline?

Not sure yet.  Right now I am still planning on going to Viera for Spring Training... and possibly still do the minor league swing in May.  But I am going to Arizona for Extended Spring Training next year.  First time visitor to Phoenix!
