Ugh he hits like a pitcher.

Lannan is the worst of the worst hitters. Why don't you PH here? Damn it Riggleman, you have a deep bench right now.

so weird to see this team's strengths being defense and the bullpen, what a difference from last year.

I wouldn't call the defense consistent enough to call it a strength, yet.

With Ian Desmond, Michael Morse, and Adam Dunn on the same defense, no defense is a strength.

Lannan looks good - I think it's the (lack of a) haircut.

John Lannan with another quality start. Giving this team a shot to win, but the offense blows it once again. Where is the "fixed" offense at?

One of those three have actually been solid on defense this year.

so many holes in this line-up, i don't know where to start.

but it'll take a miracle for things to get fixed next year if we can't "afford" crawford and/or werth.

Desmond was awful at the beginning of the year, but has shown strides.  If he were to repeat last year's first half, next season, he would be demoted.

Morse is below average in right and really doesn't have a position, I guess except for 1B (where he has been pretty decent).

Dunn has made improvements but will never be a gold glover.  We pay - or not pay - him because of his bat.

I'd like to see Morse at 3rd, but not on this team.

Remember earlier in the season when some on this board wanted Morse to play 2nd.  After watching him in right....I don't think so.

I don't believe that. They should win 3 by default.
