I am surprised that you would post this.  I do understand the logic in losing and a better draft pick though.

Just frustrated I guess.  I don't really "want" them to lose, I just honestly don't care at this point.  Any wins at this point are meaningless.  And you are right, losing more improves their draft position and hopefully embarrasses the management like they deserve to be.

I just can't believe that they might actually still lose 100 games.

I underestimated just how badly the Nationals sucked.

Double game
What happen to Ron Hansen?

Here read this;

With the Senators, on July 30, 1968 Hansen turned the eighth unassisted triple play in major league history and the first in 41 years.

It's really nice of them to punt these games so quickly so that we can all move on to other things.

In 3 years? I'm sure there has been better plays.
Perhaps.  We haven't had a whole lot of talent capable of making those plays, at least not the one last night.  That's one of the toughest plays to make in baseball.

I know what you're saying... but to mention Dunn in the same breath at those clowns is disgraceful.
Belliard or even 2008 Willie Harris better than what we will have next year.

Just a thought... Put Bally,Stammen back into the rotation and let them go 3 innings .
Then bring in Maya, Lannan, Olsen in the inner 3 innings and let the pen finish it off. Seems like a plan to me.

Ego's of the pitchers wouldn't allow it.

I took him down because of wasted space.   My techie challanged mind couldn't "right size"  the card.   I'm workin' on it :)    I have a "plan"

yes, wouldn't want to disrupt any of their All-Star careers

I'm just saying, it'd most likely not fly within the clubhouse... regardless of how bad the starters are.

I think Frank Robinson did that for a while during 2006?

I just realized this is the anti-Fangraphs matchup of the year. Lannan versus Happ.

We're watching a nerd unfriendly game.

it'd most likely not fly within the clubhouse...

and that's important, because team cohesion will be essential over the last 11 games as the club tries to improve its draft position for next year

At first MLB gameday said "defensive substitution" I was like wow, are they that confident?

Then it said due to an injured hip.

Lannan must be on the same page with Livan.

1st   J Keppinger singled to center, J Bourgeois scored.   1   0
1st   J Michaels homered to left, J Keppinger scored.

Astronauts  3
Nationals    0
