Nationals vs Marlins, Game 2
« Topic Start: September 11, 2010, 12:45:54 PM »
NATIONALS (60-81)
2B Danny Espinosa
SS Ian Desmond
3B Ryan Zimmerman
1B Adam Dunn
LF Roger Bernadina
RF Michael Morse
CF Nyjer Morgan
C Wilson Ramos
P Jason Marquis

MARLINS (71-69)
3B Emilio Bonifacio
LF Logan Morrison
SS Hanley Ramirez
2B Dan Uggla
1B Chad Tracy
RF Mike Stanton
CF Cameron Maybin
C Brad Davis
P Anibal Sanchez

When will the Nyjer Morgan era end? The guy is a detriment to the team like Guzman.

Not a huge fan of the blue uniforms... though I do believe the team is 1-0 while wearing them.

#Nats 1B Adam Dunn makes an error off the bat of Logan Morrison in the first inning. It was a routine ground ball.

Marquis looking solid.  Amazing what health does for a legit major league pitcher.

Gonna be tough to watch this while also keeping up on the Duke-WF, GT-KU and UGA-USC football games (which have all been very entertaining so far).

Yeah, today's a pretty packed sports day for me. City-Blackburn this morning, Nats game, ND game, and the Klitschko fight tonight.

Is the offense dead or just hibernating, 4 runs in 28 innings?

Just a week ago, they scored 70 something in like 5 games. It's a long season, teams go into peaks and valleys all the time.

So what's so different now than then?  How many runs a team scores from game to game really is an independent proposition.  There's no reason you have to have valleys this deep even if you also have really high peaks.

You and your damn logic and reason pissing in the cheerios of the children who just look for every excuse to whine.

EDIT:  During commericials, switch over to the Duke/WF game if it's on in your area.  This thing has the potential to be an Arena Football type of score (35-21 in the 2nd Q).

Man, I hate Bob.

"Jason [Marquis] looked to first base, but there is nothing Wally Bell can do because Laz Diaz emphatically said 'Ball!'"  Is that why Bell gave the "safe" signal literally seconds before you said that?

Or, even, better:  "It's interesting, even though he's right-handed and maybe has more power, Camberon Maybin is almost the Nationals' version of Nyjer Morgan..."  Erm, wouldn't that make him nothing like Morgan?

Gotta get our team OBP up to at least .337 next year.

That's what it was in 2009.

It's .322 this year.

I blame Eckstein and his change in approach.
