You're quoting yourself?
Sorry. The first post was sort of my vague recollection of the numbers I had looked at, while the second was where I did the actual work weeks back. could have modified the first post or just given a link.

If he only plays versus RHP... I'd certainly expect an OBP close to .350.

It's when he faces off against LHP where the problems begin.
You look to be right.  Big fail for the team when Maxwell ended up being a bust.  I thought he could handle the short side of a

Don't we typically face RHP about 70% of the time?  I can't remember where I found it before, but BP (I think) actually projects the splits each team will face for the coming year.

And didn't we hear from Riggleman that Morgan would not play against Lefties?   I know he had earlier anointed him the regular centerfielder, but then, right after the Werth signing, he modified the anointment (the implication being that Werth will move to center against lefties, and I suppose Morse will play right, though he didn't say so).

I still don't understand how a guy 30 years old playing in the major leagues hasn't grasped concepts they taught in little league.  That said, if they don't have him on an extremely short leash next season they deserve everything they get.

He was in a different league than most kids.

Do you have a source for this? Little Jimbo is usually a little slow on the draw.

So was I but I wouldn't make those mistakes if I was at the MLB level.  Besides, didn't he top out with the Regina Pats in 2000?

Sounds about right.

Great article on a hockey fight of Morgan's.

Best I can come up with is where Riggleman says Werth "could" play center against right handers.

Thank you. A small glimmer of hope at least.

It seemed like the only thing that kept Riggleman from trotting him out there every day was suspensions and injuries.

Let Morgan watch from the bench. Play Bernadina, Morse, and Werth as much as possible. If the kid from Oakland or Ankiel can handle CF, then trade Morgan for a bag of batting practice baseballs.

Yep. Considered letting it stand as a true comment, but, reluctantly, I corrected it.
