Does Marquis have a strikeout pitch?
No.  He's a groundball pitcher...   :?

It's Bernadina's fault we're losing.

Dunn's gotta make that play though.  This is the big leagues.

No.  He's a groundball pitcher...   :?

Groundball pitchers do occasionally strike people out.

It was hardly hit and we know Dunn isn't a gold glove 1st baseman. We can't blame him for trying his hardest. We knew what we were getting when we moved him to 1st and he's actually exceeding my personal expectations.

True.  But his go to pitch seems to be one that induces a groundball rather than miss the bat.  That's not always a bad thing either...

How can you blame Dunn when Bernadina has been up to bat THREE TIMES, each time with runners on base, and has done crap!  >:(

Obviously this was Marquis' best outing of the season. I hope this doesn't effect whether Maya and/or Zimmermann is called up before September 1st.

I can't believe what Jason Marquis has done tonight!  I take back most/some/a little of what I've posted about him!

Nice outing by Marquis.

He still didn't look right, especially early, but he worked through whatever trouble he got in. Hopefully they get him out of there and he can build on this start.

Not necessarily blaming Dunn, just that if he makes a play you should make at this level, it's the third out and the run doesn't score.

At the moment Bernadina (LOB 6) is the scapegoat. You cannot win with 0 runs.

Every time I ready to give up on Kennedy entirely he gets on base or does something cool in the field. :)

Wow, I didn't think it could be worse than Willie Harris, but then Kevin Mench came out.

Adam Kennedy should have been batting 5th or Pudge.  Anybody but Bernadina!

Kennedy has been much better lately due to playing more frequently

Yeah. He suffers from rust more than most.
