Lannan is reverting to his old ways. Gets 2 outs, and then makes a mistake and the floodgates open up.

Why exactly is John Lannan starting over Matt Chico?

Hit-by-pitcher is better than a walk LOL

FIXED.

Werth twists ankle at 2B, leaves game.

We have McNabb now... This will be the Body Bag Game for Philly.

Lannan looking like a minor league pitcher.

1st   B Francisco singled to right, J Werth scored, R Howard to second.   1   0
1st   D Brown singled to center, C Ransom scored, B Francisco to second.

Phillies     2
Nationals  0

If Lannan goes down (PLEASE!) we'll need another starter won't we?  We don't have any off days between now and the next start for this position in the rotation.

We'd need a starter for Friday.

Ok, take Lannan out right now if you wanna have any chance at winning this thing. Man, what a disappointment he is.

It's amazing how bad John Lannan really is.  Two years of results not matching ability is now swinging all the way back the other way.  He's horrendous.  He is not a major league pitcher.  This was Matt Chico's start.

I don't like to crack bad on Lannan but I'm beginning to lean toward your view.

Actually, I commented to my friend Kathe yesterday, "I wish they'd put Collin in".

Is he a long reliever?  Short Reliever?  Anywhere you need him reliever?

If Strasburg is taken off the DL immediately, he can make the next start in this position.  I wonder if they'd do that.
