Strasburg was only slated to have one start during the next homestand. If he can come back and pitch Friday that will alter the rotation so he can get two starts instead of just one.    :stir:

good point, but he was supposed to pitch two starts this home stand.

If we pull this game out, Batista gets the Elvis tonight.  Period.

Strasburg will be seen by team doctor Wiemi Douoguih, and Rizzo said he'd imagine the team will do an MRI and X-ray on Strasburg's arm. His next start would be scheduled for Sunday against the Phillies.

If we could get him to start Friday, that'd solve one problem. If we can't, I forget how the rotation lines up, but I believe that Chico is best positioned for that start.

That says it would be scheduled for Sunday. They may determine he's fine and pitch him on Friday when we were in need of a starter anyway. That would have him slated for two starts the next home stand.

Olsen skipped his start today. He's my pick.

I doubt the fans were booing Batista.  They were booing because Strasburg wasn't on the mound.  There's a difference.

I read it as Rizzo said that. Ask Ben in his chat if you like.
