Wood better hope that the Reds score a run, because it would suck to throw 9 perfect innings and not get the PG.
Come up and in with a fastball. Would never expect it.
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Has_there_ever_been_a_no_hitter_loss_in_baseballIs this right? The first one was in 1964. I'm surprised.
Check out this gem that ended up in a loss. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/MLN/MLN195905260.shtmlAlso, Pedro Martinez had a similar game.http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SDN/SDN199506030.shtml
Not the same thing but these two pitched 12 and 9 innings of perfect baseball before losing the game in the 13th and 10th.
Wood still perfect after 8.
Has anyone ever wondered why Morse doesn't play more? Or is it just me?
Yeah I read your post and found it very interesting. The guy on the Colt 45's made the final error himself so it's not that bad.
