Agreed. That's the issue. They let kids shag balls during the HR derby. Not a big deal for an owner or any team official to stand out there and grab a couple. Wearing a full uni is lame. Wearing a batting glove under the mitt is pathetic.

Too bad the ball hitting him in the head didn't simultaneously open his wallet.

Mark Lerner has inducted himself into the DC Sports Hall of Fame. The ceremony is on Sunday, July 31, two days before the trade deadline. Lerner was determined to be more worthy than Sean Taylor who is not on the HOF banner.

Maybe so, they already have Ted on the banner, but it's dopey to name yourself to the HOF. Once the team is sold and he's no longer on the committee would be the right time.
