I'm not so sure that wasn't a mutual decision. Riggleman was desperate for innings from his starters.

Co-sign.

per Ladson's tweets:

>It looks like #Nats LHP John Lannan will make his next start against the Cardinals on Tuesday.

>#Nats LHP John Lannan will have a bullpen session Saturday to make sure that his left flexor tendon is OK.

yeah freak this.

he's hurt. dl him and let him recover.  this team takes way too long to correctly diagnose injuries and take action to deal with them.

he threw from 100 feet today and said he felt fine.  he's making the start on tuesday unless something pops up before then.  the warmer weather should help too.

go get 'em johnny boy.

Oh, hear that everyone?  Lannan said he felt fine.

We all know we can trust our pitchers when they tell the media they're fine.  Should go on without a problem in the world!

You know, there are things like range of motion tests and strength measuring techniques they could do if they were really worried about their pitchers' health.

Like a UCL tear? The guy needs to rest for weeks. I am 100% against this.

per Ladson

Quote
DENVER -- Left-hander John Lannan will start against the Cardinals on Tuesday after throwing a successful bullpen session on Saturday. Pitching coach Steve McCatty said Lannan was able to throw all of his pitches without any problems with his left flexor tendon.

Lannan is hoping the warm weather in St. Louis will help his arm, compared to the cold, rainy weather that he faced in Colorado on Thursday. The flexor tendon stiffened up on him in the bottom of the fifth inning, in which the Rockies scored four runs.

Welcome back bro

Give us 7 next time. The conditions were not met last time, but a clap on the back and a brew on tap are still on offer.

he could've gone 7 tonight ... they pulled him for willie harris to hit with runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out and he had an epic FAIL.

Hammonds is right, he could've gone seven and he pitched a pretty good game. His only bad pitch came on a slider that FLOP barely put over the wall in left/center. It really wasn't that bad of a pitch either, just sucks we left so many men on base and had so many opportunities to get him the  :w:. He deserved it last night, hell we all do.
