I said it in the gameday thread, but Bruney was traded for the rights to Hoffman. Yankees paid the draft fee, then returned him, leaving them out about $10k. The Yankees paid money to get rid of Bruney.

And basically we did the same thing-- we just haven't gotten to the "get rid of him" part yet. Hopefully that will be soon. :)

Bruney and Batista need to go.

Storen and a trade need to be made. 

I think Batista is fine in long relief.

I agree. Batista is ideal for those games where your starter gets shelled early on, and you're down 8-0 in the second inning. Put in Batista to eat innings at that point. The game was over before it started, so it doesn't matter if he gets shelled. He'll eat innings and save the rest of the pen for a game that actually matters.
