Yeah, he needs to go. Too bad he couldn't get his ish together, we certainly could have used him. Time to bring up Storen.

When are we going to get word that he's been given his papers?  Gosh, I wish he was in Arizona!

It must have happened by now!

Whoa, so that makes it 5-11 after Tuesday night. Meaning, we're 13-4 in games in which he DOESN'T pitch. Holy crap.

Getting rid of Bad News Bruney is Rizzo's first big test this year, Riz needs to bite the bullet and tell the old man that he wasted team funds and that Lerner needs to eat his contract.

Screw super 2.  We need help.

Bruney isn't old ... he's 28. If he has any options left I'd like to see them ship him to Syracuse and work out his problems down there.  Pitchers don't just fall off a cliff at his age.  He's either injured and not saying anything, or there is a serious flaw in his mechanics.

The Nats record with/without him, as JMW pointed out, is startling.

I think there is a reason that the Yankees gave him away, while getting nothing in return (they didn't use our Rule V pick). The dude is obviously a giant ball of suck and can't pitch in any situation with the slightest bit of pressure. Rizzo needs to release his ass yesterday.

The record with or without him doesn't necessarily mean anything.  Sure, last night along with Clippard they flushed a win down the toilet, but maybe they've mostly put Bruney in when the team was losing already anyway?  I'm not saying he hasn't been terrible, because he has, but that you can't read anything at all into the team's record when he appears.

Options work going down, not coming up. Storen isn't on the MLB roster, so he was assigned to Harrisburg.

To heck with that. Tar and feathers, then quartered.  Man, mobs really knew justice back in the 1700s.  Beats the heck out of burning at the stake.  So 1600s.

Draw and quarter, simply quartering isn't enough.

I said it in the gameday thread, but Bruney was traded for the rights to Hoffman. Yankees paid the draft fee, then returned him, leaving them out about $10k. The Yankees paid money to get rid of Bruney.
