Well, we've got a rookie on the mound tonight.  Do we want a newbie to make the thread or a vet to support the rook?

Anyone but Assclown. His post consisted of the Nats lineup. That's it.

Will someone explain to me how the gameday threads work - how it is decided who starts them and so on? Is it in the policy or message board explanations somewhere? I was looking but didn't find anything. Thanks...

I don't really think there are any guidelines stated anywhere, more like unwritten rules that are known and mentioned here and there. I've never started one but after more than 2 seasons I think it's about time.

Could somebody post an example of the formatting, I am having trouble with it.  I tried to quote the post to look at the formatting, but the thread is locked and it won't let me.

Something like this is what I am going for:

This is what I use for my game threads, it's borrowed from someone else, I don't remember who, from last year, but it's basically just plugging in the teams and images from there.

So who wants to risk their record on today's game?  No Pudge and no Zimm, gonna be a rough day.

Hammondsnats is the Nick Johnson of starting game threads. He is selective to the point that he won't pull the trigger until he is 100% confident.

hey assdouche - look @ the starting pitching match-ups i've had ...

stammen vs. kendrick (x2), hernandez vs. wolf, marquis vs. davis ... not exactly great match-ups.  and i start them b/c nobody else had when i did.

I would take tomorrows but I don't think I'll be around to schedule the lineups or anything else aside from starting it.

Kyle Kendrick is a garbage pitcher. Not hard to have confidence vs. him. Livan is a solid pitcher who is better than wolf. The Marquis matchup looks like a gamble though you couldn't have known that he was that bad of a pitcher. You'll get rid of that rep the day you start a thread when Olsen or Stammen go vs. Roy Halladay.

You definitely don't want me anywhere near them, I'm the Queen of the Damned when it comes to game threads.
