Moot because Villone only pitched sixteen innings before his first earned run.

Not true. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.cgi?n1=villoro01&t=p&year=&share=2.58#655-673-sum:pitching_gamelogs

Ok I dropped one when adding in my head. Regardless you can't compare them in the least. Villone had lefty-lefty matchups tailor made.

Absolutely dominating performance today from the Nats. The Brewers looked completely lost and demoralized.

My write up from MASN's Bloggers Day and game. It is a little large so I can't paste it in the forum without taking up too much room for my taste and probably the Chief's too:

Nice.  I agree with your comment on Livan's cool when he snagged the hot comebacker.  I told my family I thought he was just counting laces for a while, before he decided to throw over to first.  No need to rush, let the guy burn hamstring fibers.

Were you in the pressbox or in a suite?  I was in 207 today, Club level.

Nice write-up NOTLD, but not all of us have to eat crow!  Some of us were happy with the Livan signing 8)

Well, when I say "us" I mean the NQ staff, not the general "we." ;)

It isn't a definite, but they are certainly in talks about it.

MASN suite. And it was a sweet setup. Food galore (hot dogs, london broil, salad, tacos, cookies, etc.) and a fridge stocked with beer and soda. All of it on MASN's bill.

Oh and I don't know if they restocked but I saw Zimmerman, Morgan, Lannan, Dunn, Pudge, AND Strasburg player shirts in the team stores today.

Quote
There was a tense moment between Rob Dibble and Dave Nichols of the newly credentialed Nationals News Network. Unfortunately I did not catch all of Nichols’ question, it had something to do with back to back 100 loss seasons, but Dibble grew a little upset for he felt what he was saying was not being taken right. At one point an obviously upset Dibble goes, “And thank you for putting words in my mouth. I love that.” All air is sucked out of the room and everyone falls silent waiting for the Dibble Bomb to go off that never does. Did I mention he had on a nice suit?

So that's what the inside joke was! Bob said something to Rob during the game about Rob not fighting with bloggers anymore... and he kind of laughed it off.

Dibble has such a unique presence. He carries himself with such overpowering confidence and he just gives off this aura that he can be both the guy that is your best friend and the guy who kicks your ass when you piss him off.
