Interesting, this article I read earlier said that they couldn't sell players merchandise until they played a game in the majors.  From what I have gathered this past week, though, either the Lerners are in for some serious trouble with the MLBPA or the article had some serious fact checking omissions.
See, I would've bet on the latter b/c of Strasburg's major league contract.

But the fact that there are no Stras shirts in the team store right now is suspicious/odd.

I was wrong on my 11-7 guess.
Isn't is it a great feeling knowing we don't have to play them again until late July? By then we'll have a revamped pitching staff

I'll love Clippard forever if he hits Utley or and Howard here.
Fixed.

So I'll wear my Stras shirt then. Gotta get the fanbase jacked somehow.

I would have turned off the game if Utley had hit that one out.

Screw it, just go for two, we're not gonna get two more possessions.

This is the article:

http://blogs.ajc.com/atlanta-braves-blog/2010/04/06/braves-sell-more-than-500-heyward-shirts-and-jerseys-monday/?cxntfid=blogs_atlanta_braves_blog

and this is the quote I refer to:

Quote
By players’ association rule, a player’s apparel cannot be sold until he’s played in a major league game, and a game is not official until the fifth inning.

Something doesn't add up.  Probably the authors research on the article if anything.  But then again, the term apparel could be loosely defined.  Who knows, but it confused me a bit.

If we'd score 10 more runs from the first time I said we needed 10 more runs, we'd still have lost.

I want to know if Luna bought MASN? They literally have a commercial every break.

Judging by their commercial, they are the only company dumb enough to advertise on the channel.

10 hits and 7 runs and still not close to winning the game.

Hi guys - I'm a complete baseball novice so go easy  :-)  In the past year since I've been following baseball & the Nats, I've seen a lot about Strasburg.  If he's so good, why isn't he playing in games like tonight's?  Surely he can't do any worse?  Genuine question.

I wonder how much these poor small businesses get robbed for to put their crappy commercials on the Mid-Atlantic Nobody'Swatching network?

At least there's less commercials for Baltimore crap.

Baltimore station commercials that are acceptable:

How could you not turn it off before this? I made it through the 7th and I was done.

If they keep him in the minors till late May or so, they can control his contract for another year due to the arcane bargaining agreement.

Also he needs to work on holding runners on base.
