-We need to finish games. Offensively, we get a couple runs and then go to sleep. This happened each game against the Mets and now again today.

More like every year against everyone.  I would love to see a ranking of teams over the past two seasons by LOB.

Pudge Rodriguez suffered back spasms while trying to throw out Carlos Ruiz at second base in the fifth inning. #Nats, #Phils

Oh geez.

The ump clearly got under Marquis' skin with his bullcrap and that is a damn shame and disgrace. It is one thing if the other team gets inside the pitcher's head, but a complete other if it's the God damned ump.

Certainly Marquis shares the blame for getting rattled so badly, hardly a playoff caliber pitcher reaction, but the umps take the blame as well because frankly that was the worst BS I've seen in awhile.

One has to wonder if Riggleman getting thrown out only put more emphasis on the situation and spooked Marquis more than if he didn't go out there and get ejected. I am not blaming Riggleman, just thinking out loud.

I wondered that too, but I'm still glad Riggleman let the ump have a piece of his mind either way.  Maybe these dickheads will start to realize we aren't going to lay back and be their doormat anymore.

No Riggleman getting thrown out had nothing to do with the performance of Marquis.  I agree a veteran pitcher has to be able to try and shake that off, but clearly it came to a point where Marquis was totally lost out there after getting screwed time after time.

This was a disappointing loss. It feels like the type of loss that could send us into a tailspin like in past years. We were up 4-0 with the chance to be over .500 with a victory and we completely choked.

If this team is like any other Nats team they will flounder and never recover. If they are better they will win Wednesday's game and be at least .500 by the end of the week.

Really wanted to catch Riggleman's press conference but I had my stupid Monday night class.  Anyone know if they'll post it on MASN's website?

Back spasms go away. Muscle relaxants and Advil. Big deal.

Back spasms might be tip of the iceberg.
