It's like in MVP 05 when your manager is tossed you can't go to the bullpen

I hated that crap.

Marquis is who we thought he was, a 4 or 5 starter on most clubs.  Sigh....

So at what point can we admit Marquis is terrible
I'm gonna wait until I see him playing someone that wasn't in the World Series the past two years before pushing him off the bridge.

I can't believe it's taking this long to get Marquis out of the game.

It's too late now, anyway, the game is over.  You might as well let him keep throwing.  >:(

Here I was, all happy about this game. Then Phillies co-worker pipes in with, "Hey, it's 6-4 now!"

I know many of you will disagree with this, but I have a hard time faulting Jason Marquis today ... today's umpiring is legendary bad and it's hard to keep your composure when you don't get any of the corners or top/bottom of the zone.

Through 2 games last year, Cabera had pitched 11 innings and given up 6 runs,

through 2 games this year, Marquis has pitched 9 innings and given up 13 runs

Still Marquis is a vet, how does he just implode like that. Obviously I'm not watching the game but still the umpire really can't cost us all 7 runs.

From now on every game against the Phillies should just be considered 0-4 Phillies before the game even starts. They will get all the calls and they have the line-up from hell.

Well, he didn't entirely.  Pudge's error looms large extending the inning too.

Everyone's at fault.  No guarantee Marquis doesn't have a meltdown anyway.

You're probably forgetting all of Cabrera's "unearned" runs.  Still not a flattering comparison, but you are cheating there ;)

I still put some of the blame on Marquis. Can't get shelled the next inning like he did.

I'm so sick of dibble and carpenter talking about the umps. On the one hand the game has been called incredibly one-sided, on the other, its because the umps are being evaluated and that's the reason?!

That's true but all 5 runs that inning still came with one out.

Two perfectly good strikes which COULD have ended the inning wasn't called.  That allowed the first couple of runs.
